Why Do Bad Guys Have So Much Sex Appeal?

It's that frequently asked question "why do bad guys have so much sex appeal to so many women?" I know its an old question but I thought it would still make a good thought-provoking topic for one of my blogs.

We constantly complain about not being able to find a 'good man' but when we do find one we turn our back on him and instead chase the bad guy. I know I am speaking about a small minority of women but the numbers are still staggering. Why do some of us do that ladies? I guess it's that old question with a million superficial answers. Let me share my thoughts on the subject. In my opinion it usually boils down to one of four things (see if you agree).

1) the explosive love-making that follows those tireless verbal fights;
2) the excitement (albeit subconscious) of that unpredictable, turbulent relationship... the 'never-a-dull-moment' syndrome that keeps you going back for more;
3) the challenge of winning his love & affection over others;
4) the challenge being THE ONE who will have the power to change him!

Bullet point 2) does seem a little crazy but that's the nature of the female psyche. Of course, not all females think this way, but I am sure it is a significant percentage! Before everyone starts getting bent out of shape with some of these stereotypical gender generalizations (and I say that with a smile on my face ladies), remember the title of this blog is "Why do bad guys have so much sex appeal" not "Why do bad guys make good husbands" because we all know they don't!

If you have a strong opinion on this topic or if you are a BBS victim (the "bad boy syndrome") make sure you add a comment in the Comment box below.

Glad I got you thinking!

Yours truly

What's Preventing You From Having Beautiful Ageless Skin!

This is an old article posted by an Arbonne Consultant in 2008. The information is invaluable and definitely worth sharing.

Skin Care Elements

If your skin in truly your biggest organ, wouldn't you want to be careful what goes on it? Everything you smooth on your body, prescription or over the counter, seeps directly into your internal system. Affecting ALL systems and functions. So why just grab something off the shelf at your corner store, or even what your dermatologist prescribes you with out really knowing the ingredients and the actual effect they have on your body.

Do the research. The Internet is an incredible information highway that can lead you to understanding benefits and how to be cautious. It is just important to be informed. For instance, did you know that MINERAL OIL is illegal to use in hospitals in Switzerland. Did you know that it is a huge cause of skin irritation, dehydration, and even eczema? Did you know that it is so harmful for your skin that manufacturers have had to change it's name several times just so the general public is not aware that they are lathering it on? It is true. Did you know that it is in most skin care products, make-up, and even prescription ointments? Interesting information you can easily find on the Internet. Do your research and decide for yourself.

So why are harmful substances used in so called "healthy" skin care?
Easy, cheap and readily available. Have you heard of rendering plants?
Even if you haven't, most cosmetic companies sure have. Pure Health
Systems has this to say about rendering plants: Ignorance may be bliss,
but here is another example of how we are slowly, but steadily, killing
ourselves!

Article is entitled, "The Dark Side of Recycling," from the Fall, 1990, Earth Island Journal. "The rendering plant floor is piled high with "raw product": thousands of dead dogs and cats; heads and hooves from cattle, sheep, pigs and horses; whole skunks; rats and raccoons --all waiting to be processed. In the 90-degree heat, the piles of dead animals seem to have a life of their own as millions of maggots swarm over the carcasses. Two bandanna-masked men begin operating Bobcat mini-dozers, loading the "raw" into a 10-foot-deep stainless-steel pit. They are undocumented workers from Mexico, doing a dirty job. A giant auger-grinder at the bottom of the pit begins to turn. Popping bones and squeezing flesh are sounds from a nightmare you will never forget.

"Rendering is the process of cooking raw animal material to remove the
moisture and fat. The rendering plant works like a giant kitchen. The
cooker, or "chef," blends the raw product in order to maintain a
certain ratio between the carcasses of pets, livestock, poultry waste
and supermarket rejects. Once the mass is cut into small pieces, it is
transported to another auger for fine shredding. It is then cooked at
280 degrees for one hour. The continuous batch cooking process goes on
non-stop 24 hours a day, seven days a week as meat is melted away from
bones in the hot "soup." During this cooking process, the soup produces
a fat of yellow grease or tallow that rises to the top and is skimmed
off. [Then sold to cosmetic companies.] The cooked meat and bone are
sent to a hammer mill press, which squeezes out the remaining moisture
and pulverizes the product into a gritty powder. Shaker screens sift
out excess hair and large bone chips. Once the batch is finished, all
that is left is yellow grease, meal and bone meal.

"As the American Journal of Veterinary Research explains, this recycled
meat and bone meal is used as "a source of protein and other nutrients
in the diets of poultry and swine and in pet foods, with lesser amounts
used in the feed of cattle and sheep. Animal fat is also used
in animal feed as an energy source." Every day, hundreds of rendering
plants across the United States truck millions of tons of this "food
enhancer" to poultry ranches, cattle feed-lots, dairy and hog farms,

fish-feed plants and pet-food manufacturers where it is mixed with
other ingredients to feed the billions of animals that meat-eating
humans, in turn, will eat."Rendering plants have different specialties.
The labeling designation of a particular "run" of product is defined by the
predominance of a specific animal. Some product-label names are: meat
meal, meat by-products, poultry meal, poultry by-products, fish meal,
fish oil, yellow grease, tallow, beef fat and chicken fat. Rendering plants
perform one of the most valuable functions on Earth: they recycle used
animals. Without rendering, our cities would run the risk of becoming
filled with diseased and rotting carcasses. Fatal viruses and bacteria
would spread uncontrolled through the population. Death is the number
one commodity in a business where the demand for feed ingredients far
exceeds the supply of raw product. But this elaborate system of food
production through waste management has evolved into a recycling
nightmare. Rendering plants are unavoidably processing toxic waste....
You get the picture.

So how do we protect ourselves?
Keep it plant based/botanical. New technology is popping up everywhere.
One skin care company is leading the way in product development.
Arbonne is Pure Swiss Skin Care and has a patent-pending nanoshere
system. With this development, natural anti-aging plant based elements
are broken down to the smallest of small particles that penetrate the
skin cells. The nanosphers are infused with 9 key elements, free
radical fighting antioxidant vitamins that are penetrating deep into
the skin to protect, condition and adjust to skins specific needs.
Allowing the skin to breath and function the way creation intended.
Even the most sensitive skin will flourish - babies too. These skin
care products are formulated in Switzerland and the Arbonne Institute
of Research and Development and made in the USA. The proprietary
formulas are botanically-based, pH-correct, hypoallergenic,
dermatologist tested (not just recommended), not tested on animals,
formulated w/out animal by-product or animal products, formulated
without mineral oil, and without dyes or chemical fragrances. For more

Wooohooo it's 2010 - Happy New Year!!!

A new opportunity to re-ignite those 2009 dreams;
to make good on those broken promises.
A new opportunity to make it a PHENOMENAL year!

But most of all, a new opportunity to

GET OUR SEXY BACK LADIES!!!

I will of course be joining the millions of women attempting to lose those extra Holiday pounds. Okay, let's be totally honest, those extra pounds accumulated throughout the entire year... possibly throughout the entire decade for some of us. Anyway bottom line, I need to lose at least 30 pounds by March 6th, which isn't an awful lot of weight but I have not given myself a whole lot of time to lose it. My goal is to not only to lose those extra pounds but to keep them off. This time I am going to get a little help from a botanical chewing buddy, TrimUlean (a natural, safe, weight loss chocolate-flavored chew). It goes without saying, that if you can achieve your ideal weight by eating right and exercising, by all means "go for it" but unfortunately most of us need a little help, especially those of us over 21??? Go with whatever works for you but I'm going with TrimUlean.

Add these three fat-burning tricks to your program:

(1) Sip tea (light colored tea is best) - In lab research, human fat cells became significantly less fat when treated with a white-tea extract.

(2) Slow down - There are two eating habits that can triple your chances of being overweight, according to research. The first is eating fast. The second is eating until you're completely full. Stop when you're about 80 percent full.

(3) Keep a food journal and review it regularly.

Let's get motivated to become the best that we can be in 2010, internally and externally.

Don't you just love the new year - there's so much hope and renewed enthusiasm in the air.

To your renewed curves,
